Making money in Naija Life means balancing paid work with the needs that keep your Lagosian going. A long shift can cover a bill, but it also takes time away from food, sleep and skill practice. This guide compares the game's jobs and explains what changes your take-home pay. All amounts below are fictional in-game naira, not real Lagos salaries.

How shift pay works
Pay arrives when a shift finishes. The current career level sets the base amount, and performance changes it: the game multiplies base pay by 0.6 plus 0.8 times your performance divided by 100. Before other bonuses, that is 60% of base pay at zero performance and 140% at full performance. Active wage policies and events can change the result.
How to get promoted
A promotion needs both the career's relevant skill and performance of at least 60. Completing shifts without building that skill can leave you earning at the same level. Look at the promotion skill in the table, then use actions that train it between workdays. Each career has five levels; the entry salary is only the beginning.
Choose a work tone you can recover from
Working hard gives a larger performance increase, but costs more energy and fun. Gisting gives a smaller increase with less energy loss. Sucking up benefits from charisma. Chilling restores some energy but lowers performance. Traits, mood effects and perks can also affect the outcome, so one tone will not suit every day.
Food and hygiene affect your work
At shift completion, hunger below 20 or hygiene below 25 reduces performance. Eating and washing before work gives you a better margin, especially on long shifts while needs continue to fall. Plan recovery afterwards using the six-needs guide.
Spend your game money on billboards and map plots
Earnings are also your route to a visible place in the city. A billboard banner costs ₦1,000,000 of in-game money for seven days, and each of the 64 boards across Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt rotates up to six banners. A map plot costs ₦250,000 to ₦1,250,000 for seven days, depending on its size: water on the Lagos lagoon, land in Abuja and PH.

- Earn the naira through shifts and other paid work, keeping money aside for your home.
- On the City tab, tap Advertise your business, or tap a billboard or plot on the map.
- Add a title, a picture from your gallery (under 2 MB) and an optional https link, then confirm to pay from your game wallet.
Any player who taps your banner or plot sees your picture and can follow your link, so it works as a real advert for a real business. The rental runs out after seven days.
