Every city has a property centre and a new layout of plots. Buy the land for 30% of what the finished house is worth, then build it in three stages that cost the other 70%. A home you own and do not live in can be let to tenants, who pay 60% of its rent every Saturday, or sold back to the market for 85% of its value. Build time is in game days; a game day passes in about three minutes of play. Each stage is paid when it starts, so you can save up between them. Tenants leave a let home empty one week in 10.
The four property careers
Every city hires all four. From the third rung (shown) each comes with a perk on your own property: an agent sells to the market at 90%, a builder pays 15% less a stage, a surveyor pays 15% less for land and finishes each stage 1 day sooner, and a property manager's tenants pay 70% of the rent. Selling and letting to players
A plot or a house you built can be offered to other players in the same city, for sale or for a weekly rent. The asking price has to sit between 50% and 200% of its value (or of the market rent), and the same two players cannot sell to each other twice within 7 days. The money lands in your Bank app.
