From the ring to the school run

Your spouse and children live in your home and appear in it in 3D.

Naija Life has families now. You can marry your Bae — one of the characters you have grown close to in the city — or another real player, throw the wedding you can afford, and raise up to three children who grow up in real time and show up in your home in 3D. This guide covers the proposal, the three weddings, how babies arrive, what children cost and what they give back. Every number comes from the game's own family data; the full tables are on the family data page.

How do you propose?

Everything starts with a ring, which costs ₦150,000. Who you can propose to depends on who they are:

Propose from the person's sheet: tap a character you know and choose Propose (your Bae also shows up in the Family app), or open a player's card from chat or the Rich List.

Which wedding should you throw?

Every Nigerian wedding comes with spraying, and Naija Life counts it: part of what you spend is sprayed back by the guests.

WeddingPriceSprayed backWhat it is
📜 Registry & small chops₦300,00030% (₦90,000)Close family, a registry, jollof after.
🎉 Owambe₦900,00040% (₦360,000)Aso-ebi, a live band and a dance floor full of spraying aunties.
👑 Society wedding₦3,000,00045% (₦1,350,000)A hall, two outfits, a celebrity MC and the whole city's gist.

The registry is the sensible start; the society wedding is for the player who wants the whole city talking. Either way you are married on the day, and your spouse moves in.

How do you have a baby?

Once you are married, Try for a baby works about 40% of the time. When it does, the baby is on the way and arrives 24 real hours later — what they look like is already decided at that moment. You can have up to three children, but only if your home has room for them:

HomeChildren it holds
Single room0
Self-contain1
Mini flat2
Serviced apartment, terrace, duplex or mansion3

So a family usually means a move. The housing guide covers renting a bigger place or buying one outright.

How do children grow up?

Children grow on real time, not game time, so they keep growing while you are away. From birth it takes 14 real days:

StageReal daysFees each game week
👶 Baby0–2₦300
🧒 Child2–7₦600
🧑 Teen7–14₦1,000
🧑‍🎓 Grown up14 onwardssends you ₦500

A game week passes in about 21 minutes of play, so the fees are pitched against your rent rather than a real school bill. Once a child is grown they stop costing anything and start sending money home.

What can you do with your family?

Eight family actions, each tied to who is at home:

They are good for your needs too: a family dinner fills Hunger and Social in one hour, which matters on a busy day — the beginner guide explains why.

What happens after a divorce?

Either spouse can end the marriage from the Family app. The children stay with both parents, and their fees and the money grown children send are split between you.
